For the movie-goers, 12 dance films are lined-up for Momentum 2011. Watch TRCC’s past dance productions such as Momentum, Muse, Moksha Mudra and Tango Project. Other films to be screened includes blockbuster hits such as Step Up and Shall We Dance? .

The Dance Workshop series aims to promote greater appreciation in the respective dance genres. Conducted at an Intermediate level, student dancers are encouraged to attend. Bollywood, Modern Dance, B-boy and Malay Dance will be conducted by renowned dance instructors.

A FIRST! A dance concert choreographed by our very own RP student dancers, selected from Create Interest Group – Modern dance, Capoeira, Wushu, HipHop.  The 6 were mentored by TRCC’s assistant director Zaini Tahir, after undergoing intense training sessions. New in Momentum, the Dance Workout series runs for 3 sessions, each comprising an hour of mass exercise fusing music and movement. At an introductory level, the workouts aim to be the stepping stone for one to be involved in dance. Strengthen co-ordination skills by executing moves from Hip Hop Kickboxing and Capoeira.

This 90-minutes dance performance embodies Emotions in Motion, aimed at showcasing the best talents in Singapore schools. It is also a platform for choreographers to feature their exciting and innovative dance pieces. Featuring dance groups from NUS Dance Ensemble, SMU InDanCity, Temasek Polytechnic Dance Ensemble, Dance Spectrum International, Republic Polytechnic Dance Groups and many more.
